Kitchen Remodel in Fairwood Neighborhood, Spokane, WA
It was a great honor to transform the kitchen in this custom dodecagon house in the Fairwood Neighborhood. The home was designed by the owner's father and she spent many hours helping him frame when it was originally built. The peninsula was converted into an island with Stardust colored cabinets, which created great flow through the kitchen. They decided on maple frameless cabinets with a white interior. The doors are a shaker style with a simple white exterior finish and Amerock Industrial Chic Rochdale knobs and pulls. We used an Istmo Stone from Stix and Stones for the perimeter countertops and Blanco Orion for the island. They chose soft close hinges and glides with several accessories including a lazy susan, tip out tray, and a trash pullout. A skylight and pendant lights were added to brighten and change the entire feel of the kitchen. We opened up a unique, free-standing fireplace between the kitchen and office, adding tile and stone work to really make it stand out. We completed the kitchen by refinishing their existing floor to give it a fresh new look.
